Five films are due for the festival of farmer on January 14 2011 – Kaavalan, Kaavalan, SIRUTHAI, ILLEYNGAN, KARUTHA KANNAN CO REKLA RACE.

KAAVALAN:

Kaavalan is about the strange fascination of a guy who worships anyone with a trace of heroism. He one comes across a reformed liquor mogul and now leading businessman and finds him to be his hero. He then joins him as the bodyguard to protect his beautiful daughter.

AADUKALAM:

Aadukalam centers on a group of craftsmen – both aged and young cohorts and their unique lifestyles. AaduKalam movie is based on the Madurai where Dhanush lives, it is a village-based subject that is about the rooster fight sports and Tapasee plays the role of an Anglo-Indian lover.


SIRUTHAI:

Siruthai is a remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Vikramarkudu'.It is directed by Tollywood filmmaker Shiva,his Kollywood debut will be ‘Siruthai’, which has Tamannah opposite Karthi. Comedy portion will be taken care of by Santhanam.

ILLEYNGAN:

Illeyngan is a period film that narrates the story of a mother and son. Kalaignar Karunanidhi has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for this film directed by Suresh Krishna (of Annamalai, Basha, Veera fame). Interestingly, Illeyngan is Suresh Krishna's 50th directorial venture.
