It is going to be an exciting year (2011) for bike lovers, because of more and more new bike launches this year 2011. Lets review them here. Hope this new releases will satisfy range users from 100 CC to High end bikes.

Bajaj-KTM:

Bajaj Auto and KTM have signed an agreement for jointly developing 125 cc bikes, to be built at Bajaj’s Chakan plant for exports to European market under KTM brand name. The first bike to roll out from this JV will land in Europe this year and subsequently in India next year.

Bajaj will distribute KTM products in other counties as well including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, South Africa and Brazil. The name of the 125cc bike is yet to be decided and the price of this machine is going to be north of Rs. 1 lakh.

It is news that the first launch from Bajaj-KTM will have a price tag over ₹1, 00,000. But not sure whether that bike will have an engine of 125cc or over 200cc.

Mahindra-Rodeo-Mahindra-Duro:

Mahindra now has three Power Scooters as part of its product portfolio - the Mahindra Rodeo, the Mahindra Duro & the Mahindra Flyte
Both the Mahindra Rodeo & the Mahindra Duro are 125 cc gearless Power Scooters with several class defining features.

Both models incorporate technological & design inputs from Taiwan’s SYM & Italy’s Engines Engineering
The Mahindra Rodeo is priced at Rs. 41,299 (ex showroom Pune), while the Mahindra Duro is priced at Rs. 38,299 (ex showroom Pune).
Available in a choice of nine elegant shades usually found on high end sedans.

Harley Davidson

Harley Davidson, the iconic American bike-maker is planning an India entry. For the second time in less than a year.
Harley Davidson will launch the 883cc Roadster and Fatboy in India. These bike would be available as CBU (Completely Built Unit) and pour all your savings to buy any one of the beast might be starting from Rs 10 lakhs.

YAMAHA YZF-R1 AND V-MAX BIKES

Yamaha Motors have announced their 2011 line-up of super-sports bikes that will be coming to India. The proposed bikes that will become a part of the Indian line-up for year 2011 are the latest 1000cc Yamaha R1 and the maddest and meanest V-Max.

Yamaha has released images of the bikes more for the customers to review. The bikes haven’t undergone any major changes as far as looks are concerned. The R1 gets new body graphics, red wine paint and new headlamp cluster. The V-Max comes in a raven black paint job and some chrome bits.
