Surya’s Raththa Charithram is almost on the verge of completion and promises to be a complete thriller. The audio launch of the Tamil version Raththa Charithram will be held in Satyam Cinemas September 30, 2010 in the presence of Tamil industry bigwigs.

The audio CD will be released by Mani Ratnam and the event will be chaired by Rama Narayanan, Kalyan, Arulpathi and Amirtham.

The audio albums of the Telugu and Hindi Version Raktha Charitra were unveiled on Sunday (September 26, 2010) at Prasad Lab Preview Theatre in Hyderabad.

The film is based on the real life incidents of the slain political leader Paritala Ravindra who survived numerous assassination attempts, the most brutal of which happened on a quiet Friday afternoon in November 1997 when a road near Rama Naidu Studio in Hyderabad was turned into a death field by a bomb which killed 26 people but failed to get its intended target.

The movie will be released as Raktha Chritra in Hindi and Telugu and as Raththa Charithram in Tamil. The film will be released as 2 parts in Hindi and Telugu, but will be released as only one part in Tamil.

The much awaited movie ‘Raththa Charithiram’ is getting ready for its audio launch on Thursday. Suriya and Vivek Oberoi are playing lead roles and the movie is directed by Ramgopal varma.

“I never knew what mafia and gang war were until I saw Godfather. It was a foreign story but its emotions were universal. So is ‘Raththa Charithiram’. The subject is volatile, obviously there should be some gore and violence”, he said.

Ramgopal varma hoping that the move will reach the expectations of the audience, he also adds . “It would embolden me to keep making Tamil movies. Kollywood has evolved a lot. We get to see movies of various genres getting released in the south”.
